Moonday, 1st of December, 2008

It was special. Quite amazing. Yesterday, Monday, the 1st of December. My sister got a message while watching me play Suikoden III(a little out of date, yeah), and said:

"I'm going out to look at the moon."

I didn't understand. Then after awhile, she came back screaming about a smiley face in the sky. I wasn't really interested, since my sister is easily excited over the most everyday things. But I decided to just have a glance.

I saw what she meant, and it sure was no everyday thing. It was cool, there actually is someone smiling down upon us from the heavens. What I saw was a cresent moon, curved in a smile, and two bright, shiny stars suspended above the moon to make eyes.

We tried taking pictures, but the stars weren't bright enough to be captured by camera. At least, not by the camera that we were using.

Today, my mum told us about the article about it in the newspaper. Its a short article, you can read it here. And there is a picture, too. The picture isn't in the link, but it was in the Chinese newspaper my grandmother subscribes to.

Monday, the Moon Day.

How magical.

Jun Shern out.
