Savour the Flavour

Pies, cookies, egg-tarts, pies again, hamburgers, hotdogs, cats, dogs, rain, sun, shine, bright, happiness, sadness, emo, Spiderman, Superman, Dr. Horrible, Neil Patrick Harris, Harold and Kumar, White Castle, burgers, pies.

Try a word. Start with any word. Then you put the next word that you think of. Whatever it may be. The sentence above would be a great example.

Apart from being fun, that process/game/time-wasting activity also proves that what comes around goes around. Cos it came back to the word "pies".

It could also mean that I simply have a limited imagination and scarce vocabulary, but I think we all know that that is not true. Haha!

Hmm. I meant to do a long post, but it's lunchtime. Sucks. Guess what's for lunch?

Pies.

Whoa.

I am afraid to announce that Jun Shern will no longer be posting in this blog. Because... He is dead. He died of stress from the exams.

Mamma Mia!

I just wanted to say that. I am not actually dead, of course. I'm fine, never better. Exams over, Mamma Mia soundtrack stuck in my head, and back on the computer, I feel amazing.

So, how are you guys? Too bad you can't answer. But most of you will say "Ok lah/Fine/Not bad/Good" and other stuff like that, so it doesn't matter anyway.

First thing I say may make a couple of you hate me, but I just realised I'm not the tag kinda guy, and seriously speaking, you can't force me to do them. I know I said I would in the Cbox, but...
Nah. Sorry.

Look! It's Winnie-the-Pooh. Haha! Look at Piglet. He obviously isn't the same Piglet that he used to be. That's because he isn't Piglet.

He's a fake Piglet, set up by the bees who want to kill Winnie-The-Pooh for stealing their honey day after day. It's the bee's version of the Trojan Horse. They used their beehive as "Piglet"'s body, and are hiding inside it, waiting for the right time to strike. Looking closely, you can see a few bees hovering around outside of the Trojan Pig.

As you can see, Pooh is the only one who doesn't notice that something is not right about Piglet. Eeyore, Rabbit and Tigger all are looking at him suspiciously. As Mr. Milne(A.A.Milne, author of Winnie-the-Pooh books) always says, Pooh is a bear of very little brain.

I was inspired to draw this after watching the Piglet Movie on Playhouse Disney a few weeks ago. And I feel its one of the best drawings I've ever done. And the movie was pretty good, too.

I'll put a poll on the website. Let you vote which was your favourite TV show when you were young.

On the topic of shows, Mamma Mia was a great show. Keeps one grinning throughout.

Enough about shows. In the past month, we had some kind of Hari Raya party at my cousin's place, where everyone had to wear sarongs.

Apart from the normal gang, Kevin and Richie (Ritchie, maybe? Dunno how to spell.) also came with us. That be one helluva fun night.

I didn't wear a sarong, actually. Haha! But others did. I don't have any pictures of them, unfortunately. That would've been great.

But we do have pictures of us after we took off our sarongs... NOT THAT, YOU PERVERTS! I mean with normal clothes on.

This is the normal shot. If you can call it normal.

And the not so normal, happy faces! Or happy faeces, as I like to call it.
See that we're in the shape of a =)? Yeeaa!

And the apartment. It's actually just the house,
with a view from the courtyard in the middle of the house.
We look like neighbours. Heheh.

Now I shall put in the two most interesting videos I've seen in a while. First, the 12 Days of Christmas by Straight No Chasers.

Now, we watch The Carleton Singing Knights do their thang.

Enough post. I'm really lazy now. Took me FOUR days to come up with a proper post.

51st Year Of Independence

This is Malaysia. It covers half of our planet, and probably stretches to the other side, too.

According to the picture.

This picture, however, is Geographically incorrect. Malaysia does not actually cover up the whole globe. It barely covers anything. It's tiny, actually. So tiny that you in fact cannot even see it from space. This, in reality, is Earth. But where's Malaysia??

Nyways, back to the Malaysian populated Earth.

Notice that, although Malaysia is not big enough to actually appear correctly on a globe, this picture for some reason portrays Malaysia as the only thing on Earth.

Why?

That's because Malaysia is Our World. My world, anyway. Dunno about you guys who are reading this.

Seeing as I have spent almost my whole life in Malaysia, my whole world is practically of the sights and sounds of Malaysia. Except for the holidays I spent in other countries. And the little fact that I was born in Singapore.

But apart from those few moments spent in other countries, I am totally Malaysian. My whole world is Malaysia. And right now, Malaysia is having stormy weather, so I better turn off the computer. Haha!

Final note:

Happy Birthday Malaysia!

Smoke

Smoking is bad for your health.

Many people who smoke are aware that smoking causes cancer, emphysema, heart disease and that it shortens one's life by ten years or more. Besides that, the habit can cost a smoker thousands of dollars a year. This may make you wonder: Why do people still continue to smoke?

So on and so forth. If you really want me to do a "Tak Nak" post, let me know. But otherwise, I'm sure you've heard more than enough about the hazards of smoking.

(That introduction was from my oral last term, by the way.)

I want to post on smoke, but not on the hazards of smoking. I want to post on the art of smoking.

Quite WTH, right? Not really.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present you: The Art Of Smoking. (As seen on Blogger play. Pictures taken from Life Is Beautiful, the blog.)

Look, I'd love to stick around to elaborate, as Mdm Shirley would ask me to do on my compo's, or add captions, as Mdm Santha would request for in my Sejarah project lampirans, but something has come up.

May I be excused?

Four In The Morning

"Yeah, we're feeling so good, just the way that we do, when it's four in the morning."

Was yesterday night the most brilliant night ever, or what? Yee Juinn and Wei Yi stayed over, and wow. Super fun.

We started the night watching Kung Fu Hip-Hop.

Pretty hilarious, y'know? But you probably don't know.

The best and funniest part was at the end. The rest is pretty stereotype.

After watching, it was about eleven o'clock. We started watching Indiana Jones, but we didn't like it, and went downstairs to hang out.

We were extremely bored at this point, so I brought down my acoustic guitar.

Then my sister brought down her drumsticks.

Then I brought down my electric guitar.

We started making up songs about not going to sleep and Yee Juinn's friend whose name was Jing Yu (which means Goldfish in direct translation).

So after making a series of stupid songs, we decided: Why not try make a band, for fun?

Thus began the namehunt. Here are a list of our best names:
1. O2H (stands for Oink-Oink Heroes)
2. AK.7 (I heard AK47 wrongly then decided AK.7 is much nicer)
3. 22/7 (apple pi, anybody?)
4. 3.142 (how about sheppard's pi?)
5. Milky Way (we drank WAY too much MILK that night)
6. Local Heroes (the origin of Oink-Oink Heroes)
7. Chicken 07 (my personal favourite: James Bond's pet chicken)
8. PHI (the golden ratio-either search the net, or read Da Vinci code to understand)
9. 3-pin plug (every live performance needs electricity)

Nice list, but we can't choose. Anyways, back to the story.

After that, we played Burnout 3. Definately a golden oldie. My favourite game all around.

However, Wei Yi and I got a little caught up in photography halfway through.

Wei Yi was the mastermind behind all this. It all started with a motion blur. Then, it evolved into some of the coolest photography I've seen in quite a while:

Can you spot me?

Remember: It's the month of the Ghosts, people. Better not fool around too much.

Look! It's Me, Myself and I! Haha!

We spent an hour trying to perfect the photography. And when we were satisfied, it was 2 am, and we made Maggie Mee.

My Maggie Mee was a disaster, and I'd rather not talk too much about it.

Let's just say the noodles were over-cooked, and the soup was comparable to Madam Mano's complexion. I'm not trying to be mean, honest. I am saying that in the most respectful manner possible.

We went to play cards.

Eventually, the clock striked four. Then the ghost appeared. Well, she did what ghosts are supposed to do. She scared us.

My maid was standing where I was sitting on the floor in the pictures. She was already awake, maybe she had planned to wake up early to mop the floor, or had been awoken by us. Take your pick.

So she was just standing there, staring at us in disbelief. She rubbed her eyes twice, then turned around to read the clock. She turned attention back to us, then shook her head and muttered as she walked away:

"Aiyo."

"It's four in the morning and our strengths are falling and we wanna go straight to sleep."

Google Gadgets

I signed in to my account like any other day, but today, something catches my eye in the Blogger Buzz section. Hmm? What's this?

Google Gadgets? Huh?

Here's the article.

Here is the screenshot. We've got everything from online games to weather forecasts in this new Google Gadgets thingy to be added on to our page.

What's this all about? It's uncharacteristic of Blogger. Kinda Facebook-ish, doesn't it seem?

Still, I guess it's rather interesting.

I like some of their gadgets, like blogger play. Actually, Blogger Play has been on for quite a long time, but I never gave it much attention.

Now, I've added a Blogger Play at the bottom of the page, so it won't disturb you if you don't like it.

Personally, I find it's a pretty nice way to waste time. Staring at people's pictures, finding interesting pictures and blogs alike.

So far I've already saw Pakistan war victims with missing eyes, and a man who looks like Tony Stark, even with the Jericho missiles blowing off behind him. He's a real soldier with one hell of a good, quick-reactioned photographer.

By the way, how do you guys like the new banner? Drop me a comment on ye olde Cbox. I don't really feel like adding to the rest of the blog. White is nice. The way all that backgrounds should be.

I don't have anything more to say for now, so... Ciao.

C-O-O-L

COOL. I have just had the most amazing eye-opening animal prey-predator survival of the fittest journey through Youtube that is totally unbelievable and wowing.

Credits to Jeremy for finding the centipede eats rat, of course.

Okay, okay. Let's just go straight to the videos.

Unfortunately, for the first video, the one that Jeremy gave me, the embed code is locked, so I can't help but to leave you with nothing but the link. Watch it. A little bit disturbing, but totally intriguing.

Thank goodness these are allowed. Just watch em. Quite short, so I daresay you won't be wasting too much of your life. Besides, this isn't wasting time, this is educational.

Sort of.

Here we go...

This one is actually more disturbing than the other one. It's also centipede+mouse, but with closer angles.

Next up, Doc Ock battles the Sharkman!

This one has a pelican swallowing a duck whole. Crazy.

Completely wacko. Now, my favorite. Prepare to be blown away. The almighty cow eats a mouse as if it were just another mouthful of grass.

Having fun? It ends here. Gotta go.
